Varanasi - it’s tough to tell from this picture but this is where over 300 dead bodies are brought and burned publicly every day in a precise ritualistic manner. Bodies that don’t meet certain specifications (ie. a boy under 10 or a pregnant woman) are not burnt but rather sunk in the water
